Friday

Today was still cold but at least the wind was not blowing as hard. The sun also managed to stay out most of the day.

I had a normal day at work.

Karen and I went to the Catfish house for dinner. We then came home to relax.

Thursday

Today was very cold. The wind was blowing very hard.

I got a haircut today.

Tonight Karen worked at the office late. I came home about 6 and had some Boston Butt for dinner.

Wednesday

Today was cold.

We had several problems to work through at work today.

Tonight, Lauern came to spend the night. Karen, Lauern and I went to church tonight and then came home to relax.

Tuesday night Karen found a puppy. She has placed a deposit and hopes to get the puppy before Christmas.

Monday

It has been a while since I have made any enteries into my blog. I have just been busy and so forth.

Today was a nomal Monday after Thanksgiving day at work, nothing special.

We woke up to rain and while it did rain for most of the morning, it did clear up by lunch time.

I did check on a new dog for Karen to replace Calvin.

Tonight we are planning on having KFC for dinner.

Sunday

Karen and I went to church.

I mowed the lawn and then worked on some VBS audio while Karen was at work today.

Tonight we stayed in after I took Lauern home from VBS practice.

We are waiting for Dennis to arrive with some much needed rain.

Saturday

I had breakfast with Karen, then went to church to tape the audio for the puppet show for vacation bible school in a couple of weeks. I then worked on the audio all afternoon.

Tonight Karen and I attended a medallion ceremony.

Friday

Today we had a pork chop grill at work for lunch.

Tonight Karen and I had dinner at Red Lobster.

Thursday

Today was quiet on the home front.

Karen was out with Susan tonight to have dinner. Calvin and I "batched" it at home tonight.

Calvin appeared to be ill due to having been to the groomers today.

Wednesday

Tonight was go to the fair night with the kids.

We rode rides. We had to ear pork chop sandwiches, funnel cakes, cotton candy, hot dogs and pop corn. We rode more rides.

Karen and I finally left between 9:30pm and 10pm. While we are both very tired tonight, I know the kids had a good time.

Monday

Today I spent most of the day at home due to a work problem.

Karen and I went to look at a new matress late in the afternoon. We then went with Beverly and Jeff to a 4th of July picnic. We did get to see most of the fireworks before we left to beat the rain storm.

Sunday

Today was warm.

I went to the Southside Picnic with Janice, Lauern, Callie and John Michael.

Lauern stayed in town tonight and worked till 9pm on the display at church. I worked on some of the audio stuff related to the puppet script.

Saturday

Saurday was a quiet day. Karen and I fixed steaks at home for dinner.

Friday

Today was tough to be at work wiht the three day holiday coming up.

Tonight Karen and I went to the catfish place with her parents and Callie.

Thursday

Today they issued a heat warning. It was extremely hot. However it is suppose to cool off some by the weekend.

David and Cindy came over tonigh to visit for a while. Susan also came over to visit with Karen for a while.

Wednesday

Another hot day in Hopkinsville.

I took Lauern to puppet practice when I got home from work and Karen took Lauern to meet Janice after practice.

Karen fixed leftover spaghetti for dinner.

Tuesday

Today was cooler with no rain.

Tonight I mowed the lawn. Karen fixed me dinner for the second night in a row (what a great wife). We had Hamburgers and fries.

Monday

I was planning to mow after work today. However just as I was ready to leave the office, the rain started falling. I decided not to complain as the farmers really need the rain.

I did go to the YMCA tonight. I feel much better. Karen had dinner ready when I got home (spaghetti).

Sunday

Today continued to be hot. While it was cloudy, it never rained at the house. It did cool off after clouds came throughout.

Karen and I went to church tonight and then took our niece home. She was attending a meeting on the puppets for vacation bible school coming up in a couple of weeks.

Saturday

Today was hot with some surprise rain. However,we did not get enought rain and we need some more.

Tonight Karen and I had dinner at Captian D's and then went to see the new batman movie in Clarksville. We both reall enjoyed this new batman movie. We think it is the best Batman yet.

Friday

Today was hot. Tonight we waited for someone to show up to look at our patio furniture. They never showed up. Karen then ordered some Mexican food and I had some KFC for dinner.

Thursday

After spending the day in Mt. Airy, I returned home tonight to Hopkinsville. It feels much hotter in Hopkinsvile then it was in Mt. Airy.

I am happy to be home again.

Wednesday

Today I am still in Mt. Airy. I visited Hillsville this afternoon and had dinner at Sagebrush.

Tuesday

I am in NC on business today. I did get to eat dinner at my favorite place in Mt. Airy - Mayflower. The best seafood in town.

Monday

Monday was a quiet day. I am scheduled to be in NC for the next few days for work. I did get the yard mowed and trimmed tonight.

Patio Furniture Pictures Posted

I have posted pictures of our new patio furniture in my moblog.

Saturday

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was out and it was not too hot at all.

Karen bought new patio furniture today. I will post pictures in the next couple of days. She is really excited as she thinks our back yard looks so much nicer.

We had Karen's mom and dad over tonight for Father day's. We had ribeye stake from Kroger's backed potato, and spinish salad. The steak was the best one we have all eaten in some time.

Friday

Friday after work, Karen and I spent the night at home. We both just wanted to spend some time at home after the busy last couple of weeks.

Thursday

Today was just a standard day at work.

Karen's parents came by for a visit after they eat dinner at Pizza Hut.

Wednesday

Today was a little cooler.

Tonight Karen and I went to church. I am continuing to eat on the chicken i fixed on Saturday.

Tuesday

Today was a little cooler but no by much.

I helped a friend after work tonight with his router.

Monday

Today was hot in the 90's.

After work, I mowed the lawn and sprayed Roundup around the yard.

Sunday

On Sunday we got a rain storm most of the day. Karen and I did not make Sunday School but we did get to church.

After church we took Karen's mom out for her birthday.

Dad's 80th Birthday

Dad's 80th birthday was Saturday June 11th. I left for Owensboro to help with the cookout first thing in the morning. John's friend Steve brought over a cooker and we grilled chickens hot dogs and a ham on the grill.

They put the chickens on around 8am and were not finished until 2pm. The chickens actually came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

About 30 people showed up to help dad celebrate this important birthday. Karen came with her parents along with Callie and John Michael.

The weather looked like rain all day. I did rain a shower while I cooked and started to sprinkle after we started eating but we never got a major shower while the party was going on.

Dad got a birthday cake with a tractor on it. He also got some cards and received some very nice gifts.

All in all, I think dad really enjoyed his day and enjoyed himself. I did not get home till 10pm and was really tired. I ran into some rain from Arlene on the way home and it poured down rain pretty much from the Christian Co line.

Today it rained a couple of times in town. The weather is getting warmer now as we get close to the first day of summer.

Tonight Karen and I went to dinner at the Horseshoe. We then went to Lowe's where Karen purchased a couple of hanging plants with the help of our neighbour David. Karen then went to the mall and shopped. I set down in the middle of the mall and people watched.

Today was warm and cloudy. I went to Starbucks after lunch and got a Caffe' Mocha. I really enjoyed it and it helped me to stay awake all afternoon. I went to Krogers after work and picked up some Coke for Dad's party Saturday.

Today was warmer with a short intense rain shower.

Tonight was the first night I could just stay at home and just relax all week.

Today was a little cooler. It looked a little like rain but never saw any.

I ordered a cake for Dad's 80th birthday today.

Tonight I helped a friend with a router problem and showed them how to use their Dell DJ.
